Enviro Club

OK I know what you all are thinking, HANDS all over again but no, actually this could be more important.
We NEED to take action in order to save our planet, see Mr Woody's blog about the Apes.
Think about your rubbish and water and food and electricity.
It does matter.
Think and take action otherwise your children and grandchildren and their children may not have a world to live in.
Read newspapers, and take action if you think something is wrong.
See the truth do not hide from it, it is there and always will be unless you do not make changes NOW.
Who thinks a petition club would be good?
To take things to the council.
We could be famous and change the world if we take a united front.

Govt acts on food-mile claims

This is in an article from the waikato times by The Press about how the goverment is coping with food-mile claims. Not super interesting but;

We should all think about food miles if we care for the environment - all the petrol fumes released into the air from the plains.
The article may be found in the section A11 in the news section.
A huge issue currently.

Moon landing

In 1969 Neil A. Armstrong, Edwin E. Aldrin Jr and Michael Collins took of in an Apollo spacecraft .

President John F. Kennedy challenged the men to land on the moon before 1970.

At 9:32 A.M., the Apollo 11 spacecraft escaped the earths gravitational field.

On Sunday the spacecraft landed at 4:17 P.M reporting the common phrases:

"Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed."

"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

Apollo 11 landed Thursday, 24 July.

The astronauts were kept in quarantine for sixteen days because scientists feared the introduction of pathogens from outer space.

The mavelous City of Venice

Venice is a city in northern Italy.

It is countries capital and has a average population of 271,251 people.

The city stretches across numerous small islands in the marshy Venetian Lagoon along the Adriatic Sea in northeast Italy.

The saltwater lagoon stretches along the shoreline between the mouths of the Po (south) and the Piave (north) Rivers.

Venice is world-famous for its canals.

It is built on an archipelago of 122 islands formed by about 150 canals in a shallow lagoon.

In the old center, the canals serve the function of roads, and every form of transport is on water or on foot.

The classical Venetian boat is the gondola, although it is now mostly used for tourists, or for weddings, funerals, or other ceremonies.
